West Hall routs Pickens

JASPER - Ben Martin picked up the win leading West Hall to a 12-2 win over Pickens in five innings Wednesday. Martin struck out six and walked one. The Spartans (11-11, 6-6 Region 7-AAA) finish the year at home Friday against rival Johnson. In other action Wednesday night, Johnson fell 3-2 to Gilmer in nine innings, which had been winless in region play. Gainesville lost 8-2 to Fannin County on the road. Fannin County will travel to White County Friday in a showdown for second place in the North subregion.
