MURPHY, N.C. - The Gilmer boys basketball team used an 18-3 second quarter en route to a 62-39 win over Murphy (N.C.) Wednesday night.<br>

The Bobcats (5-13) held Murphy to just 15 first half points while building a 41-15 lead.<br>
<br>
Clay Collins led Gilmer with 17 points and Adam Green added 9.<br>
<br>
Green, however, may have to miss Friday's game against White County because he received a technical foul and was thrown out of the game against Murphy after an altercation between the two teams in the third quarter.<br>
<br>
Gilmer never let Murphy back in the game in the despite being outscored 24-21 in the second half.<br>
