Evidence hearing in Turner murder case

By By Scott Grant
MARIETTA - A judge is considering whether to allow evidence about the death of a Forsyth County firefighter into the trial of a Cumming woman for the alleged murder of her husband.

Prosecutors argued in a hearing Thursday the jury should hear about the 2001 poisoning of Randy Thompson, who had two children with Lynn Turner. She has not been charged in his death but is considered the prime suspect by investigators.

Turner is being tried in Marietta for allegedly killing Cobb County police officer Maurice Glenn Turner in 1995. He died of antifreeze poisoning just as Thompson did.
