Two Czech Republic manufactures coming to Flowery Branch

A pair of Czech Republic companies are coming to Hall County, supported by the growing electric vehicle manufacturing industry. 

The honorary consulate of the Czech Republic announced that two manufacturing companies are coming to Flowery Branch one being SOPO US, Inc. and the other SILENT-US, Inc.The companies plan to introduce production lines this summer.

SOPO, founded in 1992 by founder Vladimir Olmr, specializes in the production of winding wires and the magnets, stators and rotors in electrical motors. The company will invest $2.3 millon and create 25 new jobs in Hall County at this new facility. 

SILENT, established in 1996 by Libor Zelenka and David Urbanek, produces insulated parts and components for the electrical industry. This company consists of 60 employees, has an annual turnover of $12 million and has plans to invest $1 million to create ten new jobs.

“Georgia has all of the things for a manufacturing company when it comes to the location and the economic power, and also provides an educational workforce with reasonable costs,she believes that Georgia is the right place for companies for the Czech Republic to start with their U.S. ventures,“ Vintrlikova says. 

Tim Evans, President and the Ceo Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce, expressed enthusiasm about the new Czech investments. 

 “Gainesville and Hall county is home to 60 international subsidiaries, multiple of these are primary headquarters and advanced headquarters, the sales and the distributions for North America in the business company. The investments of these companies follow a long time leader in advanced manufacturing from the company ALBAform. The technology and investment from these businesses is a testament to the skilled workforce the companies have found and the welcoming environment for the top management and their families” Evans says.
