Hall's first baby of 2003 is a girl

GAINESVILLE - Hall County's first new baby of the new year is a five-pound, nine-ounce girl.

"Hailey Nicole" was born at 12:44 Wednesday morning at Northeast Georiga Medical Center.

The parents are Jessica Len Ervin and Jericho Davis.

Ervin said they weren't expectingan arrival so soon.

"It was kind of a surprise but it was very exciting," she said. "I was so happy I was crying but I was also glad it was over."

Hailey was showered with gifts from the hospital as the first baby born in the new year.
