A fire in Habersham County Thursday night caused a home to have significant damage.
Habersham officials report that units were dispatched to a home on Garrett Road off of Ga. 105 at around 10:30 p.m.
The caller reported it as a “big fire.”
The first arriving units could see flames from the road below the house, with the house already suffering heavy fire damage.
The issue was resolved by 2 a.m., with state fire investigators reporting that the fire appeared to be accidental and home heating-related in the area of the chimney.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office is now investigating.
