GAINESVILLE - Many people in the Gainesville area and around the country are expected to turn to their churches Wednesday to mark the first anniversary of the terrorist attacks.

For one church in Gainesville, Lakewood Baptist, part of the day will be spent remembering the Gainesville native who died in the attack on the Pentagon. Edna Stephens' funeral was held at Lakewood last October.

The church will hold a special service at 9:11 a.m. Wednesday. It will include a wreath-laying at the flagpole in front of the church in memory of Stephens.
