HCSO enlists bomb sniffing dog

GAINESVILLE - The Hall County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) now has a bomb-sniffing dog of its own.

Sheriff Steve Cronic says the dog will made available to respond quickly when needed.

Cronic added "the dog is stationed at the new courthouse so he will be available (at a) central location for quick response to anything locally and will be availble to any school where a response is needed."

The yet un-named canine was purchased with money siezed from drug dealers. Both the dog and his handler completed special training, according to the sheriff.
