SunTrust unveils annual report for kids

ATLANTA - SunTrust to unveil Annual Report, Jr. concurrent with distribution this week of its formal 2001 annual report to shareholders, SunTrust Banks, Inc..<br> <br> The report includes a &#34;kid-friendly&#34; discussion, aimed roughly at ages 9-11, of various highlights of SunTrust&#39;s business, strategies, priorities and performance<br> highlights.<br> <br> According to SunTrust Chairman and CEO L. Phillip Humann, the idea of creating a Kid&#39;s Report grew out of SunTrust&#39;s stepped-up emphasis on improving performance and customer service, which in turn has increased<br> demands on its own employees.<br> <br> &#34;SunTrust is successful because our people work hard. We ask a lot of our employees -- and they deliver,&#34; said Mr. Humann. <br> <br> While the Kid&#39;s Report was developed originally for SunTrust employees, Mr. Humann said its messages are not limited to any single company. &#34;We would be delighted if people beyond the SunTrust family find this report of value in explaining what a bank like ours does and why it matters,&#34; he said.<br> <br> SunTrust Banks, Inc., headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is one of the nation&#39;s largest commercial banking organizations.
