Students and staff of the University of North Georgia returned Monday from a two-week hiatus to continue instruction. But instead of returning to the college campus, they are adjusting to a virtual classroom while the COVID-19 pandemic continues.
Governor Brian Kemp announced today that a new plan to utilize laboratory resources from the University System of Georgia, Georgia Public Health Laboratory and Emory University will allow for processing of around 3,000 tests per day for COVID-19.
The Hall County School System donated medical supplies including goggles, masks and gowns to Northeast Georgia Medical Center last week. The supplies will help protect NGMC staff who may be exposed to COVID-19.
