Allie Lazenby was named Belle of the Ball Saturday night at the Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County's 70th annual Charity Ball.

Lazenby, a senior at North Hall High School, represented the Rotary Club of Gainesville. She is the daughter of Shane and Jennifer Lazenby.

Lazenby was one of six belle candidates. The other candidates included Catherine Chandler, representative for the Gainesville Jaycees; Sarah Davidson, representative for the Boys and Girls Club of Lanier; M’Kaylah Jackson, representative for WomenSource; Mikaila Long, representative for Girls Unlimited; and Ella Martin, representative for South Hall Rotary Club.

According to a press statement, the belle candidates raised over $210,000. Each year, the belle candidates raise money on behalf of their sponsoring organization to bring awareness to the League’s various initiatives and programming efforts. The Belle candidate who raises the most money is crowned Belle of the Ball at the event.

The 70th annual Charity Ball was hosted at the Ramsey Conference Center at Lanier Technical College.
