The Hall County Commission gave final approval Thursday to a resolution that signals the county's agreement to join a proposed land bank with the city of Gainesville.

The Hall County Commission will have several public hearings on large-scale items when it meets for its Thursday voting session.

The Hall County Planning Commission voted Monday to recommend approval of a special use that would allow for boat and auto sales and detailing on a small lot on Browns Bridge Road.

A man looking to rezone a parcel of land along Browns Bridge Road to allow for office space and storage for his demolition and towing company had his request denied by the Hall County Commission Thursday.

The Hall County Commission and the Gainesville City Council will both vote in the near future on whether or not to jointly create and manage a land bank.

Road work will shut down a bridge in White County for almost a month starting in June.
