Plans for residential development on several tracts of land surrounding the recently-build roundabout at the intersection of Sardis Road and Ledan Road in northwest Hall County have been approved by the county board of commissioners.

The Hall County Commission will decide Tuesday evening whether to allocate over $800,000 towards improvements to an intersection near an elementary school in the north end of the county.

In the latest round of residential development in the city, the Flowery Branch City Council gave final approval to changes to site plans for a more-than 300 lot neighborhood at its Thursday meeting.

The Flowery Branch City Council held its first meeting in the newly opened City Hall building Thursday.

Hall County officials are attempting to move forward with a study that would look into the possibility of a bypass road connecting several major roads in the north end of the county.

The road in front of Chestatee High School will now bear the name of one of it's teachers thanks to a months-long effort from students and Hall County Commissioners.
