FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. – Flowery Branch put up big numbers Friday night in a 34-7 win over Forsyth Central in their home opener.
Brett Sturm finished the day with three passing scores on 11-of-16 passing for 107 yards. His first one came at the 8:18 mark as he found Tre Shields to take a 7-0 lead. After Griffin Harper sprinted in from 23 yards out to cap the first quarter scoring, Sturm found Harper and Jake Bursinger in the second quarter to take a 28-7 lead into the break.
Harper had one more rushing score to cap the scoring at the end of the third quarter, punching it in from four yards out to cap his 91-yard night.
The Falcons will return home next week to battle Hart County.
