A fatal single vehicle crash on Montevideo Road in Hart County left one with non-life-threatening injuries and another dead.
Troopers from Post 52 Hartwell responded to a 1995 Ford F-150 traveling east on Montevideo Road that was involved in a single vehicle crash. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the car had left the roadway and been overturned.
The Georgia State Patrol’s Specialized Crash Reconstruction Team also responded to the scene to assist in the crash investigation.
The driver, 33-year-old Amber Argo of Elbert County, was able to exit the vehicle with non-life-threatening injuries.
The passenger, a 16-year-old resident of Franklin County whose name has been withheld, was pronounced deceased on the scene with fatal injuries.
Impairment does not appear to be a contributing factor and the crash investigation is on-going.
Hart County Sheriff Chris Carroll adds that the deceased passenger has been identified as a female.
