UPDATED @ 7:10 P.M. Wednesday, June 11, 2025:

A Sautee man remains at large after an officer-involved shooting in Habersham County that left a deputy injured early Wednesday.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said Jonathan William Harris, 34, was pulled over by a Habersham County Sheriff’s Office deputy near Juniper Trail in Toccoa at around 3:30 a.m.

Harris was reportedly driving a truck pulling a trailer, with two flat tires, that was reported stolen out of Hall County.

The truck stopped at the end of Juniper Trail, and as the deputy got out of his patrol car, Harris rammed into the patrol car, which caused it to hit the deputy and knock him to the ground.

Harris then got out of the truck and ran from the scene when the deputy fired a shot at him.

Antone Cortez Hall, 44, of Gainesville, was a passenger in the truck.

Hall was arrested and charged with theft by receiving stolen property, obstruction of an officer and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was booked in the Habersham County Detention Center.

Harris who is still on the run, has been charged with possession of a firearm/knife during the commission of a crime, fleeing/eluding a police officer, aggravated assault upon a law enforcement officer, obstruction of an officer and theft by receiving stolen property.

Harris also has outstanding warrants for an arrest from an unrelated incident.

The deputy sustained minor injuries.
