Upcoming road and infrastructure work to build an new Fire Station in Cleveland will require the closure of a popular side street away from the downtown area.
Beginning Tuesday, June 3, Cleveland city officials say the infrastructure work due to construction of the new Fire Station will necessitate a closure of the section of the road located at 84 East Underwood Street. The closure will begin Tuesday morning after 6 a.m., and continue through the evening of Friday, June 6.
A press release from Cleveland City Administrator Kevin Harris urges commuters into the downtown area to use East Kytle Street, US 129, and Quillian Street as alternate routes. Officials have previously projected the completion for the fire station projects before the end of this summer.
