A search warrant served by multiple agencies Thursday reportedly led to the discovery of fentanyl and other narcotics at a home in Toccoa.
The Stephens County Sheriff’s Office reported that the agency received a tip that Kenneth Jerry McConnell, 75 of Toccoa, was engaging in suspected illegal drug trafficking activity in the area of Foster Street. Upon further investigation, investigators obtained a search warrant for McConnell’s residence.

A social media post from the department said the pills were not prescribed to the suspect or anyone else living in the home. Investigators also seized four vehicles from the property.
McConnell was transported to a nearby hospital due to having difficulty breathing on scene.
