It's a happy ending, of sorts, behind the search for a pair of missing teens in Stephens County this morning.
Stephens County's Sheriff's Office social media page reported that at approximately 5:00 p.m Monday, deputies were dispatched to a 911 call at Eldon Drive in Toccoa regarding two runaway juveniles. Once on scene, Stephens County deputies learned that two teenagers had been missing since approximately 9:30 p.m. the previous night, Sunday, April 6.
Officials said the unidentified male and female juveniles were found safe in the Hart County area of Bowman at around 1 a.m. Tuesday. The male reportedly had an outstanding probation warrant from Stephens County, and was transported to a youth detention center as the female was released into her mother's custody later in the morning.
Stephens County deputies have taken out juvenile complaints against both individuals, according to a Facebook post on Tuesday morning. They also extended their thanks to the county's Emergency Services Department and Hart County officials for their assistance.
