Flowery Branch City Council approves conditional use permit for microbrewery

By Hamilton Keener Anchor / Reporter

The Flowery Branch City Council voted to approve a conditional-use permit for a microbrewery at the former location of Hamilton Cabinet and Shutters.

The CUP was approved with several conditions, with two dealing with parking for the brewpub.

According to plans for the site, Bangarang Brews will provide 13 parking spaces at the location.

The 8,700-square-foot building will be renovated before the brewpub opens for business. A Facebook post from co-owner Adam Fiddler said they plan to open the microbrewery in fall 2025 or spring 2026.

The city council unanimously voted to approve the CUP with an amendment striking the first condition of approval. The condition was removed because the city cannot expire CUPs.
