COLUMBUS, Ga. — The Lakeview girls basketball team defended their GIAA-3A title with a monster 70-29 win over John Milledge Academy on Friday at Columbus State University.
It's the Lady Lions' second straight GIAA state championship.
Dynesty Putman led the Lady Lions with 17 points and eight rebounds. Taliah Gaither had 13 points, Emyrie Combs had nine points and seven assists. Taylor Clark had 9 points, AC Mitchell netted six points, and Jadeah Marshall chipped in four points, pulled eight rebounds, and blocked two shots.
The Lady Lions finished the season 22-7 overall.
