GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Lakeview Academy won its ninth straight game, taking a 79-53 victory over Furtah Prep on Saturday in the North Georgia Showcase at the Lakeview gym.
Tayden Ware had a huge game for the Lions, posting a double-double with 27 points and 14 rebounds.
Lakeview led 21-14 after the first quarter and pushed its lead to 38-25 by halftime. Furtah cut th lead to 10 points at 49-39 but the Lions exploded for a 30-point fourth quarter to pull away for the lopsided win.
The offense got tremendous balance as Jude Ellis added 16 points, Justyce Sadler scored 11 points, and Eli Mayfield had 10 points for the Lions.
Lakeview (18-6, 9-1 GIAA District 4 4A/3A) next will play host to Loganville Christian on Tuesday,
