BUFORD, Ga. — Buford ran its win streak to eight straight after a 67-44 win over Rabun Gap on Friday at The Buford Arena.
Carmelo Williams poured in 21 points to lead the Wolves (17-3, 8-0 Region 8-6A).
Buford will host Central Gwinnett on Tuesday in a Region 8-6A contest.

The Lions rallied from an early deficit to take a GIAA District 4 4A/3A win at home on Friday.
Lakeview (15-6, 7-1 GIAA District 4 4A/3A) trailed 17-12 after the opening period but exploded for a 23-10 second quarter to take a 35-37 lead into halftime.
The two teams played a basic standstill in the second half as the Lions outscored the Indians (9-8, 0-3 GIAA District 4 4A/3A) just 31-29 to maintain their lead.
Tayden Ware paced the Lions with a double-double with 19 points and 15 rebounds. Justyce Sadler added 15 points and Lewis Roberts scored 9 points for Lakeview.
The Lions, who have won six straight, next will play host to district leader Athens Christian on Tuesday.
PICKENS COUNTY 85
NORTH HALL 43
The Class 3A sixth-ranked Dragons opened the game with a 27-8 first quarter and then cruised to the Region 6-3A win on Friday.
Pickens (20-0, 10-0 Region 6-3A) continued to push, building a 54-25 halftime lead. The Dragons took a 74-38 lead into the fourth quarter.
Dodge Davis poured in 30 points, including six 3-pointers, to pace Pickens. Parker Davis had 19 points for the Dragons, who hit 15 3-pointers for the game.
The Pickens defense held North Hall (12-8, 5-4 Region 6-3A) to just 15 total field goals.
North Hall saw its two-game win streak end with the loss.
Cole Hulsey 11 led the Trojans with 11 points. Micah Jimerson added 9 points for North Hall.
CHEROKEE BLUFF 65,
MONROE AREA 48
Boston Kersh scored 26 points and Tyler Under had 15 to lead the Bears past Monroe Area on the road Friday.
The Bears (19-2, 5-1 Region 8-3A) led 29-17 at halftime, but Monroe Area cut the lead to single digits by the end of the third quarter, 46-37.
However, Bluff outpaced the Canes 19-11 in the final quarter to seal the win.
Cooper Glover added 11 points in the win.
EAST HALL 71,
OCONEE COUNTY 46
After a close first quarter that ended with the Vikings up 14-11, East Hall outscored the Warriors 22-5 in the second to take control in the win.
Chasen Jones scored 22 points to lead the Vikings (16-3, 5-1 Region 8-3A). Bray Langston added 14, and Jamarcus Harrison chipped in nine. The Vikings bench was key in the win, scoring 19 points, 12 of which came from the 3-point line.
The Vikings only outscored the Warriors 35-30 in the second half.
GAINESVILLE 76,
LANIER 30
Gainesville had 10 players score and four in double-digits to blow past Lanier at Davis-Hill Gym on Friday.
Caden Jackson led Big Red with 19 points. KJ White added 14. Xavier Griffin had 12, and Jaxson Jones finished with 10.
Gainesville (14-6, 7-1 Region 7-5A) held Lanier to 13 first-half points en route to a 37-13 lead. The Red Elephants extended their lead to 63-21 at the end of the third quarter.
