The National Weather Service has announced that a Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect for many areas of North and Central Georgia.
NWS said the advisory will be in place starting at 10 a.m. Tuesday until 7 a.m. Wednesday.
Snow accumulations of less than an inch may be possible, but the snow's extent is uncertain.
“Please note that travel impacts will be the primary concern with ANY amount of snow, so don't focus on exact amounts,” NWS officials said in a Facebook post.
Drivers should beware of slippery and hazardous road conditions on Tuesday afternoon/ evening and Wednesday. Freezing temperatures Tuesday night will prevent travel conditions from improving on Wednesday.
