Alleged suspect charged in domestic-related shooting in Cumming

The Cumming Police Department has released the suspect's name in an alleged domestic-related shooting from Monday.

17-year-old Eduardo Dos Santos Masztaler Borges is currently in the Forsyth County Jail without bond on a host of charges related to the reported shooting.

That includes charges of aggravated assault, false imprisonment, possession of a stolen firearm, and discharge of firearm within 500-feet of a residence.

He also faces charges of:

  • Possession of a firearm under the age of 21
  • Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony
  • Reckless conduct
  • Criminal damage to property
  • Possession of THC vape
  • Possession of mushrooms
  • Fleeing and attempting to elude

No one was injured in the incident and the Cumming Police Department continues to investigate.

The Cumming Police Department reported a domestic-related shooting on their Facebook on Monday.

No one was injured in the incident according to officials.

In the post they said after the 9-1-1 call to dispatch on Monday, officers worked quickly to apprehend the suspect.

They said they worked the scene to collect pertinent evidence, with no other information available at this time.
