By Will Daughtry News Reporter

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that a 15-year-old student made threats to a school in Jackson County in light of the tragic shooting at Apalachee High School on Wednesday.

This comes after the Gainesville Police Department reported a similar threat from a 14-year-old late Wednesday night.

According to a Facebook post from JCSO, they received the report on Wednesday that a threat was made on a bus from one school to another school in Jackson County.

The male student allegedly made statements about the Apalachee shooting and was “planning on finishing the job” to shoot another school in Jackson County.

There were witnesses to the statements. The teenager was transported to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office where he was interviewed.

The juvenile was charged and detained at the Youth Detention Center in Gainesville.

Officials say this is an ongoing investigation.
