By Caleb Hutchins Assistant News Director

No serious injuries were reported after a car flipped into a creek near Hoschton Wednesday morning.

A report from the West Jackson Fire Department said the incident happened a few minutes before 5:00 a.m. on Bill Watkins Road just north of Ga. 53.

"Crews found one vehicle off the roadway upside down in a creek adjacent to the (road,)" the report said.

When crews got to the scene, the driver of the car had already gotten out of the vehicle and climbed back to the road. He reportedly told officials he was not seriously injured, with only minor cuts on his arm. No one else was in the vehicle.

Bill Watkins Road was closed for over an hour while a tow truck worked to remove the car from the creek. The scene was cleared at around 6:30 a.m.
