RABBITTOWN, Ga. — East Hall remained unbeaten in Region 8-3A with a tough 2-1 win over Jefferson on Monday at East Hall Park.
The Lady Vikings (6-6, 3-0 Region 8-3A) scored single runs in the first and fourth-- both on wild pitches -- and Amari Burce made it stand up. Burce went the distance, scattering four hits and three walks while fanning 9 to get the win.
It was the fourth win in the last five games for East Hall.
The Lady Dragons (5-6, 2-1 Region 8-3A) scored its only run in the seventh on a wild pitch and had the go-ahead run at the plate. But Burce was able to strike out Ava Catledge to end the game and preserve the win.
Both teams will be back in action will big region games on Tuesday. East Hall travels to Oconee County while Jefferson heads to Cherokee Bluff.

The Lady Bears pulled into a second-place tie with Jefferson with a blow out win over the Lady Spartans on the road.
Bluff (6-4, 2-1 Region 8-3A) pounded out 18 hits on the day, paced by Kate Herren, who had four hits, including a home run, and 5 RBI. Mac Warren and Jatcee Archer each had three hits and 4 RBI for the Lady Bears. Audrey Graham had a hit and 3 RBI.
Lillie Diehl got the win in the circle for Bluff, allowing five hits and striking out 8. Only one of the seven runs was earned as the Lady Bears were able to overcome six errors on the day.
Bluff and Jefferson play on Tuesday at Bears Park with the winner moving into second place in the standings.
