Chick-fil-A Oakwood to reopen at new location

By Will Daughtry News Reporter

Chick-fil-A Oakwood — formerly Chick-fil-A Robson Crossing — reopens for business on Thursday.

The restaurant will feature a multi-lane drive-thru and an outdoor canopy for face-to-face ordering.

Andrew Farr will remain the local owner-operator of Chick-fil-A Oakwood, which has been in the Flowery Branch community for nearly 24 years.

Located at 3437 Winder Highway, Chick-fil-A Oakwood will be open for dine-in, drive-thru, and carry-out from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The new location is roughly 5,000-square-feet and will have 79 parking spaces for guests.

The dining area will feature 70 indoor seats and 40 outdoor seats.

The Chick-fil-A will welcome 35 new team members following the relocation.

The Oakwood restaurant is one of more than 180 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Atlanta market.

Chick-fil-A’s franchise model makes it so most of the restaurants are owned by a single individual, making Chick-fil-A’s owner-operators small business owners as opposed to passive investors.

According to a press release from Chick-fil-A, Farr will be “responsible for day-to-day activities of the business, leading employees, serving guests, cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses, and tailoring philanthropic efforts to meet the Flowery Branch community’s needs.”

Farr is a Georgia native, growing up in metro Atlanta.

His father, Wayne Farr, was a long-time owner-operator. After graduating college in 2002, Andrew became an owner-operator of Chick-fil-A at Jimmy Carter Boulevard in 2004.

After a few years, Andrew was selected to be the owner-operator of Chick-fil-A Robson Crossing (now Chick-fil-A Oakwood) in 2008.

Andrew and his wife Tiffany, along with their two daughters Maddie and Mary, have been active members of the Flowery Branch community which they hope to continue at the new location.

"It’s been a privilege to serve the Flowery Branch community for the past 16 years, and we are thrilled to continue serving you at our new and improved location,” said Andrew. “This move allows us to enhance guest experience and provide an even better environment for our dedicated team members."
