By Steve Winslow Anchor/Reporter

It's "Back to School" through this week for many of Georgia's school systems, and AAA is again reminding all commuters to be alert for the increased traffic on the roads and in local neighborhoods.

The AAA, "School's Open Drive Carefully Awareness Campaign" is out today, and reminds everyone to curb a trend of unsafe driving behavior in school zones.

Their AAA Consumer Pulse Survey shows that 7 out of 10 Georgia drivers (70%) will commute daily, or regularly drive routes that take them through school zones and/or school bus stops once school starts this fallAAA urges motorists to slow down and stay alert in neighborhoods, and school zones.

In partnership with the Georgia Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, local law enforcement, traffic safety partners, school districts, and elected officials, AAA-The Auto Club Group will hit the road to host five School’s Open Drive Carefully press events across the state from July 29th -August 6th, to kick off the back-to-school season.
