Gwinnett County Police have arrested a suspect behind a fatal shooting in Snellville late Saturday.
A press release Saturday night says the unidentified female victim was shot along the 3400 block of Stone Mountain Highway just before 7:30 p.m.
Officers arrived to find that the male suspect was on site, being detained by witnesses to the shooting and then took the suspect into custody. Reports indicate that the incident occured inside a venue hosting an apparent graduation party.
Investigators are saying little more at this time other than the shooting was an apparent domestic incident, and that the names of the suspect and deceased victim were being withheld until next of kin are notified.
