Forsyth County Pet Resource Center to host 6th annual pet adoption event

By Lawson Smith Anchor/Reporter

The Forsyth County Pet Resource Center will be hosting a summer-long adoption event beginning Saturday.

The sixth annual “Summer of Love” adoption event will waive the center’s $85 adoption fee for all animals beginning Saturday, May 25th until Sept. 14.  Adoptions will include microchipping, spaying/neutering and age-appropriate vaccinations.

“We are very excited to give residents a chance to adopt a pet at no cost,” said Pet Resource Center Manager Cindy Lacopella said in a release. “All of the pets in the shelter deserve a good home, and we are hopeful that this promotion will help families bring a new companion home this summer.”

The Pet Resource Center provides animal adoptions from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesdays through Saturdays. The shelter (4065 County Way) is located just off SR 400 in north Forsyth County.
