Hall Co. Animal Shelter to waive adoption fees for December

By Will Daughtry News Reporter

The Hall County Animal Shelter will waive all adoption fees for the month of December.

“At the end of the year, our goal is to clear the shelter and find loving homes for the holidays for all of our animals,” Hall County Animal Shelter Manager Stephanie Maloch said. “In the past, we have had tremendous success reaching that goal by waiving our adoption fees for the entire month of December.”

The Bissell Pet Foundation is sponsoring the cost of adoption fees using their Empty the Shelters program for the first part of the month and their Santa Paws program for the latter part of the month.

“While we do want to remove barriers to ensure pets make it home in time for the holidays, we still want people to remember that adopting a pet is a long-term commitment,” Maloch said. “Families need to consider all of the factors that come with being a pet owner before deciding to adopt because we don’t want these pets to end up back at our shelter.”

The Hall County Animal Shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can also browse adoptable pets here at their website.
