Lawrenceville man arrested by Gwinnett County Sheriff's investigators on several charges

The Gwinnett County Sheriff's investigators have arrested a Lawrenceville man under allegations that he tried to make obscene contact with a juvenile for solicitation.

Investigators with the Gwinnett Sheriff's Trafficking and Child Exploitation Unit (TRACE) arrested David Jones of Lawrenceville on May 14th as he was attempting to make contact with a person he believed to be 14 years of age.

The Gwinnett TRACE unit placed Jones at the Gwinnett County Jail after being taken into custody. Jones has been charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit a Felony, Electronically Furnishing Obscene Materials to Minors, Obscene Internet Contact with a Child, Possession and Use of Drug Related Objects, Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance and Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance. 

Jones remained in custody, as of last report.
