Separate fires in Lawrenceville damage a home and townhouse

By Steve Winslow Anchor/Reporter

A townhouse fire in Gwinnett County late Tuesday leaves heavy interior damage and three people with minor injuries while a second, separate structure fire remains under investigation.

A Gwinnett County Fire and Rescue Facebook post says crews responded to a townhome fire located on the 1900 block of Patterson Court SW.  Officials say the accidental fire started in the kitchen and was controlled within nine minutes of arrival. Three patients were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officials also say a separate house fire on the 600 block of Scenic Creek Drive SW was considered accidental in nature. Crews needed less than 15 minutes to contain damage to the structure upon arrival to that scene

Everyone escaped the house safely, and no injuries were reported.
