A single-vehicle wreck Thursday in Homer left one man dead.
Banks County Fire Chief Steve Nichols said their units responded at around 8:36 a.m. to 479 Hwy 51 South, in Homer for a vehicle accident with injuries.
When Banks County Fire and Emergency Services units arrived they found a truck with a roughly 50-year-old victim inside.
They extricated him from the truck in ‘traumatic arrest’. Units attempted to perform life-saving measures on the victim.
He was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center where he died of his injuries.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol and the Banks County Coroner’s Office.
