By Steve Winslow Anchor/Reporter

The City of Gainesville is starting the fun early for springtime in 2024 by opening its inaugural, "Georgia Cities Week Coloring Contest", to children ages 5-12.  Artists must also be residents of Gainesville.

The contest is free to enter and the first-place winner receives a $30 voucher to Kilwins Gainesville and a certificate of achievement.

City officials say that entries must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 12.

To enter, just grab the coloring sheet from the City of Gainesville's Facebook page, make it your finest work of art and be sure to write your full name, age, grade, school and telephone number on the back.

Entries may be dropped off in person any time from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday at the Gainesville Welcome Center in suite 100 of the Gainesville Administration Building, located at 300 Henry Ward Way, Gainesville; mailed to the Gainesville Public Relations Department, P.O. Box 2496, Gainesville, GA 30503; or sent electronically via Messenger to the official City of Gainesville, Georgia Facebook page.
