GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Eric Herrick made official on Thursday what some had speculated since the end of the girls basketball season.
The former North Hall alumnus stepped down as the Lady Trojans coach after just two seasons. Herrick confirmed it after informing his team Thursday morning.
"I really enjoyed my last two years at North Hall," Herrick said in a text to AccessWDUN Sports. "I love those kids and the relationships we built."
He is leaving to take a similar job in another school district.
Herrick was a head coach for the Chattahoochee, North Forsyth, and Dawson County girls, and the Dawson County boys before returning to his alma mater to run the Lady Trojans program.
Herrick led North Hall to a 37-18 record in his two seasons with one state playoff appearance (2023). The Lady Trojans were not able to get out of a tough Region 8-4A tournament last month.
