A northeast Georgia man died Monday morning after what the coroner called a "high rise fall" at a quarry in Elberton.
The Elbert County Coroner's Office said 36-year-old Michael Alan Watts, of Elberton, died just before 7:30 a.m. Monday.
The Coroner's Office says Watts was pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of injuries he sustained after the high-rise fall at the quarry on Cedar Creek Road, according to social media posts.
No further details have been released regarding how Watts fell was released as the incident is still under Elbert County Sheriff's Office investigation.
