Five-vehicle wreck south of Lawrenceville sends one to hospital

By AccessWDUN Staff

A five-vehicle wreck Saturday evening left one person with life-threatening injuries and four others with minor injuries along Grayson Highway.

Officers with the Lawrenceville Police Department responded to calls of a multi-vehicle wreck at approximately 5:20 p.m. Saturday, according to authorities.

Upon arrival, officers found five vehicles involved and one driver was trapped inside a vehicle “with obvious injuries,” officials said Sunday.

Preliminary investigations show that a vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed in the opposite direction on Grayson Highway when it hit four other vehicles.

One driver was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, while four other drivers and passengers suffered minor injuries, according to police.

The LPD is continuing to investigate the crash and anyone with additional information has been asked to contact Lt. Haney at [email protected]
