A Gainesville man who was arrested for sexual exploitation of children in both 2022 and 2023 is now behind bars again, facing more charges after an investigation reportedly yielded more child sex abuse material.
Hall County Sheriff's Office officials said Wednesday that Cameron Dakota Dove, age 27, was arrested Tuesday morning at his home in northwest Hall County. A search warrant had been previously been executed that led to investigators reportedly finding child sex abuse materials on Dove's computer and cell phone.
Dove was arrested in December 2022 after investigators said they found him in possession of at least two sexually explicit images of children at his home on Brier Court. At the time, he was arrested on charges of sexual exploitation of a minor, possession of child pornography and distribution of pornographic materials.
He was arrested again in May 2023 on two more counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
After this week's arrest, authorities said Dove is now facing an additional 60 counts of sexual exploitation of children. He now faces 66 total counts of that charge.
Dove is being held in the Hall County Jail without bond. Investigators said additional charges are not expected.
Hall County Sheriff's Office officials said the investigations into Dove started with online tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
