A sprinkler malfunction and pipe leak triggered the evacuation of a White County Walmart over the weekend.
City of Cleveland Fire Department officials responded to the Walmart on Sunday November 10th after 4:50 p.m, following reports of flooding in the store's back cooler area.
Cleveland Fire Chief Ricky Pruitt reported a ceiling sprinkler malfunction resulted in the store's management immediately evacuating the entire building for a few hours.
The building is reportedly now on a 24-hour fire watch until the sprinkler system is repaired, but employees and customers were allowed to return to the building later in the evening. No injuries were reported.
