While the East Hall boys are playing a tournament in Anchorage, Alaska, the rest of Northeast Georgia is locked in regional play as the playoff races continue to offer plenty of storylines coming into Friday's action.
Can the Gainesville boys continue their hot streak against No. 2 Shiloh in Region 8-6A? The Red Elephants (6-12, 4-1 Region 8-6A) have won four straight in the region, while the Generals (14-3, 5-0 Region 8-6A) have won five straight overall. They meet in Gainesville, with Gainesville looking to pull into a first-place tie.
The Chestatee girls and North Hall girls are the two hottest teams in Region 8-4A and will meet at North Hall. Can the Lady Trojans (11-5, 4-2 Region 8-4A North) pull within a game of first place of the Lady War Eagles (15-4, 6-0 Region 8-4A North)?
On the boys' side in Region 8-4A, Cherokee Bluff (12-5, 4-1 Region 8-4A North) can pull into a first-place tie with East Hall (10-8, 5-1 Region 8-4A North) with a win over Johnson (0-13, 0-5 Region 8-4A North).
