Hall County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a Gainesville man on an assortment of charges following a domestic violence case from May of this year.

Hall County Sheriff's spokesman Derrek Booth says 26-year-old Kevin Bryan Aleman is being held without bond following his arrest on September 12th for an alleged physical argument with a pregnant woman and the unidentified woman's two young children inside their SUV on May 26th.

Aleman and three victims, a woman and two young children, were riding in an SUV in the area of West Ridge Road, Hancock Extension and Lancaster Drive as the incident occurred. Aleman and the 26-year-old female victim, who was pregnant, began to argue and the argument turned physical when Aleman pulled into a parking lot on West Ridge Road.

Aleman is accused of striking the woman multiple times, leaving her with bruises, scratches and a black eye. Aleman also allegedly struck the woman’s pre-school age child during the course of the argument. The woman’s other child (age unknown) witnessed the assault, according to investigators.

Booth says following the argument, Aleman also drove recklessly from the West Ridge Road scene and damaged the vehicle when he stopped along Lancaster Drive, where the victim called 9-1-1.

Aleman faces two counts of battery, two counts of third-degree cruelty to children, simple assault and other charges.
