A traffic accident Monday afternoon in Hart County left seven people with injuries, four of which were serious in nature.

According to a press release from the Georgia State Patrol, troopers responded just after noon to the two-vehicle crash on Bethany Bowersville Road near Bert Moorhead Road in Hart County.

Investigators determined Hollie Bryan, 20, of Canon, was driving a Kia Optima west on Bethany Bowersville Road and attempting to turn left into a private drive.

The Kia traveled into the path of a Volkswagen Tiguan, driven by Travis Johnson, 23, of Hartwell, which was traveling east on Bethany Bowersville Road. The front of the Volkswagen struck the passenger side of the Kia.

Bryan and her two passengers, Tristen Bryan, 18, of Canon, and a minor, were all seriously injured and taken to local hospitals. Tristen Bryan was airlifted as part of the transport process. Hollie Bryan was 20 weeks pregnant and reportedly miscarried as a result of the collision.

Additionally, Johnson and three other occupants in the Volkswagen were transported to local hospitals. Johnson, Laucreesha Brawner, 27, of Royston, and one juvenile passenger all sustained non-life-threatening injuries. An additional juvenile passenger suffered a serious injury.

Charges are pending in the wreck.
