Two-vehicle wreck in Hart County results in serious injuries

By Will Daughtry News Reporter

A two-vehicle wreck in Hart County Monday afternoon led to serious injuries.

Georgia State Patrol (GSP) reports that at around 2:43 p.m. Mnoday, officers responded to the crash on Ga. 172 at the intersection of Eagle Grove School Road.

They report that a 2008 Pontiac G6 was traveling south on Eagle Grove School Road while a 2004 Ford F-350 was traveling west on the highway.

Officials say that the Pontiac’s driver failed to yield after stopping at a stop sign and the front of the Ford hit their driver’s side.

Both vehicles came to “uncontrolled” rests, with the driver of the Pontiac being transported by Hart County EMS to AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson, South Carolina.

The driver of the Ford was not injured.

No impairment is suspected according to GSP, but the Pontiac’s driver will be charged with failure to yield after her release from the hospital.
