A hit and run on Wednesday in Gainesville resulted in minor injuries.
The wreck occurred just before 10 p.m. on State Route 369 near Cherokee Trail.
24-year-old Joe Mwete of Oakwood was reportedly following too closely when the second driver was trying to turn left onto Cherokee Trail.
Mwete hit the rear of the vehicle, and then rolled backwards before traveling off the roadway to the right.
The vehicle that got rear-ended fled the scene and Mwete was unable to provide a tag number or any identifying features.
Mwete had minor injuries according to the crash report but was not transported for them.
The driver who ran away is still unknown as of this time.
