GAINESVILLE, Ga. — In a tri-match at North Hall on Thursday, Jefferson swept both matches with Gainesville and North Hall while the Lady Red Elephants split their two matches.
Gainesville (3-5) and Jefferson (9-1) opened with a back-and-forth affair that went three sets as the Lady Dragons rallied from a set down to 13-25, 25-17, 15-10. Jefferson then knocked off North Hall 24-14, 25-10 in its second match.
Gainesville rebounded with a 25-17, 25-14 sweep of North Hall in the final match.
For Gainesville, Avery Lindsey led the way with 31 assists, 3 kills, a block, 2 digs, and 1 ace. Hannah Stewart added 11 kills and 2 digs, and Taylor Reid had 7 kills and 4 blocks for the Lady Red Elephants.
Lily Clay added 6 aces and 6 digs, Kyndall Butler had 9 kills and 4 digs. And Kailyn Haven added 2 kills and 5 blocks. Weather Clay contributed with 3 kills, 2 blocks, and 2 digs, Prentice McGarvey had 13 digs and Kathy Huynh had 2 aces and 4 digs for Gainesville.
Gainesville (3-5) next will travel to West Forsyth on Tuesday for a tri-match before hosting the pool play portion of the Hall County Tournament on Thursday.
North Hall (4-9) next will take part in the South Forsyth Tournament on Saturday.
LAKEVIEW ROUTS WAR HILL CHRISTIAN
Lakeview Academy improved to 6-5 with a dominating 25-10, 25-3, 25-1 win at home on Thursday.
Avery Wood paced Lakeview with 17 aces and 3 kills. Taliah Gaither had 7 kills, Maggie Rogers 8 kills, and Addie Gilmer had 14 aces and 8 assists for the Lady Lions.
Lakeivew next will play host to Trinity Classical on Monday.
