Buford’s bid to get back to a state title match came to a tough end on Tuesday.
The Lady Wolves lost 3-2 to Norcross -- 22-5, 25-23, 20-25, 25-21, 15-9 -- after the Lady Blue Devils rallied to win the final two sets.
East Forsyth lost 3-0 to Pace Academy in the Class 4A quarterfinals. Union County dropped a 3-0 decision to Ringgold in the Class 2A quarterfinals.
On Wednesday, Jackson County and Habersham Central in Class 5A and White County County in Class 3A all will look to advance to the semifinals.
The big match on Wednesday involving northeast Georgia area teams will have Jefferson traveling to Chestatee in Class 3A as well.
