CLEVELAND, Ga. — White County advanced to the Class 3A semifinals in the Georgia High School Association volleyball playoffs on Wednesday.
No. 7 seed Jefferson followed suit, knocking off No. 2 Chestatee on the road, 3-2, in the quarterfinals to also advance to the semifinals.
Jefferson and White County, the No. 6 seed, will meet on Saturday at Holy Innocents’ for a shot at the championship match on Nov. 2.
It was the second time this season the Lady Dragons had beaten Chestatee. They knocked off the Lady War Eagles in a 3-0 sweep on Aug. 6 in the season opener.
In Class 5A, Jackson County fell 3-1 to Milton while Habersham Central lost 3-0 to Sequoyah.
